Sportswear giant Adidas has recently launched a customization app called #miZXFLUX for sneakerheads today. This little iOS/Android app lets you create custom shoes from your new or already captured photography.
The app is incredibly simple. First, you need to sign in and enter all your footwear details, including gender, shoe size, and where these sneakers are being shipped. Then you’re directed to an Instagram-like photo editor. After having captured the image of anything you wish from faces to food or any magazine cover, you can rotate, zoom, and flip the image to that desired spot on the sneakers template, then hit preview. The app presents a 360-degree 3D preview image allowing you to maneuver your design until it’s perfectly aligned on your shoe.
Once you save, they’re added to your “shoebox” where you can save all your sneaker collections and also share your shoes across social networks like Twitter and Facebook. Currently, the app is available only in selected countries which include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britian, Ireland, Italy, the Nehterlands, Spain and Sweden.
The pricing is roughly $105.00 per pair. Though a bit expensive, it is pretty damn awesome. A press release from Adidas states that the photographs sent by the customers are subject to the company’s discretion.
