Belkin and Mr.Coffee team up to make a WiFi-enabled coffee pot

WiFi-enabled coffee pot

Many of us can’t begin our day until we’re finished with a cup of fresh coffee. If you are that sort of a person and looking for automating your coffee maker, you need to consider Mr. Coffee smart coffee maker. Wireless connectivity device maker Belkin has teamed up with Mr. Coffee, 10-Cup Smart Optimal Brew Coffee maker, to make a Wi-Fi enabled coffee pot.

As its name implies, this device can be programmed and controlled remotely by Belkin’s own WeMo app for Android devices. It has a ten-cup capacity. With Wemo app, you can program brew time and reminders, so coffee is fresh and hot whenever you want it. You can remotely turn the machine on to have coffee waiting as soon as you get home or turn the machine off as your plans change. The smart functionality of the WeMo app alerts you when its time to clean the pot. It’s better than the old-fashioned alarm clock style coffee pots for automated brewing because you might not want your coffee to be brewed at the same time each day.

Mr.Coffee maker heats water up to 205 degrees, ideal for extracting the most flavor form your coffee grounds. If WiFi connection is lost, it’s easy to start brewing manually. The sleek, stainless steel carafe is double-walled and vacuum-sealed to keep up to 10 cups of coffee hot and fresh. Mr.coffee maker is available right now for $149.99.
