The wait is finally over, Car lovers! Dodge has unveiled its most powerful muscular car-Challenger the Hellcat. The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is America’s most powerful car.
What’s unique about SRT Hellcat?
The muscular car comes with two keys. While the black model keeps the boost down to give you 500 horsepower, use the red one and that supercharged 6.2 litre HEMI Hellcat features 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque sent through the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic. Both sets are actually keyless ignition key fobs, according to CNN Money.
It’s the most powerful V8 Chrysler has ever made and the first HEMI to make use of a factory-installed supercharger. Honestly, driving that muscular car with a third pedal is something one should not miss.
Hellcat features the same motor found in other Chryslers, Dodges and Jeeps. “The new 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat is the ultimate performance muscle car,” said Tim Kuniskis, Doge president and CEO, naming it “ A true GT car with an all-new-driver-focused interior.” The Hellcat will be manufactured at Chryler’s Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada, but production will begin only after the third quarter of 2014.
Gas mileage and pricing have not been publicly disclosed by the company, but expect both to be autobusting.
This new edition of Dodge’s Challenger will be available with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox and will be the flagship model in the Challenger range.
If you’re as excited as we are, waiting that long to see and drive the most muscular car ever made will be painful to say the least. However, that gives us more than enough time to go through all the details and find out what the Hellcat is made of. Aside from the supercharged, V-8 HEMI we’re already drooling over…
