Facebook has now officially announced the arrival of a new iPhone app called Paper. This app will be available on February 3rd, and it’s only for iPhone in the U.S. for now. The company describes Paper as a way to help you
“explore and share stories from friends and the world around you.”
Facebook these days is focusing a lot on getting hard news in front of users. This app is just not an ordinary plain old reading app but is beautifully sleek package.
Mark Zuckerberg explained;
“Your Paper is made of stories and themed sections, so you can follow your favorite interests,”
App features a rich WYSIWYG editor and allows its users to customize Paper with a dozen of choices to other sections about various themes and topics.
“The Storytelling and sharing have been reimagined in Paper to show stories at their best,” “Everything responds to your touch so you can pick up or thumb through stories with simple, natural movements. You can tilt your phone to explore high-resolution panoramic photos from corner to corner, and see faces and other important details up close. Full screen auto play videos come to life and bring you deep into the action. Beautifully detailed covers make it easy to spot articles from trusted publishers and decide what to read or watch. Articles unfold in the app and appear full screen for a focused reading experience. When you’re ready to tell your own story, you know exactly what your post or photo will look like because you see a live preview before you share it.”
The UI in this app is fast and comes with a rich design. The news stories in paper app appear like Twitter-style cards. It looks like Facebook has worked creatively in making this paper app for iOS. We will update you with more its features after its launch on February 3rd.
