Recently, NTT DoCoMo, the Tokyo based telecom operator declared that they would launch a wristwatch-type terminal which had the SMS sending and receiving function and also the GPS function Dokotchi in Japan. This is an amazing watch which showcases a 1.3 inch EL display. Plus, it can display in five different ways. Now, how good is that? Well, we are not done here. The NTT DoCoMo Dokotchi Wristwatch – Type Terminal is actually dustproof and it includes temperature and humidity sensors. It is about 44 x 44 x 15mm in size and weighs nearly 50g.
These temperature and humidity sensors come in as quite handy to the parents. They quantify temperature and humidity along with monitoring the child’s activity level.
The user can create a boilerplate code statement which can be sent as an SMS when the device is paired with a smartphone. In case the range of the Dokotchi and smartphone is out of coverage, both the smartphone and Dokotchi users are sent a notification. So, this basically helps to keep track of the child when he is playing outdoors.
