Logitech’s Harmony remotes let you control all connected devices in your Home

Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home

Home automation systems have become popular in the recent years. Logitech’s Harmony remotes were previously restricted to your home entertainment center. But now, Logitech’s new premium remotes extend its support to lots of connected-home devices like smart locks, thermostats, and lights from August, Honeywell, KWiset, SmartThings and other brands.

The new touchscreen-equipped Harmony Ultimate Home doesn’t look all that different from its predecessor—the Harmony Ultimate – except for the fact that it is available in black and white. It is priced at $349.99. The Harmony Ultimate Home system allows you to program your devices so that they interact with each other.

Moving down to the $149.99 Harmony Home Control, it adds a simple-push button remote that can control smart devices or enable programmed activities, in addition to functioning as a standard home theater remote. The Harmony Home control is accompanied with the Harmony Hub — a small black device that uses RF, IR, Bluetooth, as well as Wi-Fi to communicate with everything in your house. The hub alone is available for $100 on its own. All the three Home control systems will be available this month.

Buying just the hub allows you to use Harmony’s system with your Android or iOS smartphone and control the devices you’ve installed both at home and from afar. As always Logitech’s system allows you to dive deeper into any device in your home to program it just the way you want.
