Does the government belong in our schools? One of the governments educational policies is teaching tenure. Tenure is supposed to give experienced teachers job security after years of service.
The reality of teaching tenure is that job sercurity promotes laziness. Fifty-eight percent of people surveyed said that tenure does NOT mean a teacher has worked hard and proved themselves to be very good at what they do.
