Seagate launches the world’s slimmest hard drive at CES 2015

Seagate has been expanding its range of storage devices with the launch of three new models: Wireless Mobile Storage, Seagate Seven and Seagate Personal Cloud. Well, of the three, we should agree that Seagate Seven is the most interesting one. In fact, it is the world’s slimmest portable hard drive with an ultra slim body which measures just 7mm. This might come out quite as a shock, but, Seagate Seven is actually even thinner than Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus!

The Seagate features a powerful build and an elegant look on the whole with is full metal chassis which gives it the finest finishing. The hard drive supports USB 3.0 and comes with 500GB on board storage. Seagate marked its 35th anniversary with the launch of this new portable hardrive.

The hard drive weighs only 150 grams and it will have 2 years of warranty which will just about cover all of your costs in case you encounter some kind of hardware problem. Being the slimmest hard drive, Seagate can be very easily carried in bags or pockets. It measures 113.5mm in length, 76mm in width and 9.6mm in height. And, if you exclude the enclosure, you will find that the device is just 5mm thick!
