With the help of Kobe Bryant, Nike has developed an LED basketball court called the House of Mamba and is located in Shanghai, China. This amazing court was specifically built for Nike Rise, a competition in search of the best young, developing Chinese developers. The final 30 contestants are trained on the LED basketball court.
The court has built-in motion sensors that respond immediately to contact, shows performance statistics of every player and can also suggest them some training exercises to follow. This could be very helpful tool for training athletes and will probably be used for other sports too. The light effects and colorful animations entertain the fans for some time. Touch sensitive LED basketball courts are now a reality and could be expected at your local gym very soon.
