While the rest of us were lining up outside Apple stores, an elite few were waiting for their own, rather exclusive iPhone 6 handsets to find their way to them.
Although the iPhone 6 Plus is Apple’s most expensive smartphone, for some exclusive customers, it’s just not luxurious enough. A number of high-end luxurious companies are taking Apple’s latest and turning it into gold-plated and diamond encrusted models. However, Gold & Co, UK-based luxury jeweler is already offering a custom 24-carat gold version of the iPhone 6 to the elite customers. Known for blinging out Apple devices for the obscenely wealthy, the jewelry store has attracted lots of attention from big-name celebrities, athletes, and royalty regarding the world’s first 24K Gold iPhone 6.
The waiting list of exclusive customers includes boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr., big names from the music industry, business tycoons and every royal family member in the United Arab Emirates. Jamican rapper Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber are also waiting to grab the new gold-plated iPhone 6.
The iPhone 6 gold models are available in three versions.
First up is the Luxury Gold Elite option which replaces the aluminum body with 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum. It comes in white and black, the front is left untouched and visible. The second version adds Swarovski crystals in which the Apple logo is embedded. Finally, there’s the Limited Gulf Elite where you can get the coat of Arms of your country. They are available in the same 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum options but are limited to 99 of each finish.
All the three versions support 16GB, 64GB or 128GB storage. The pricing starts at $50,000 and goes as far as $130,000. The world’s first 24-Karat gold iPhone 6 from Gold & Co. is up for grabs starting September 19, a couple of days after the launch of Apple iPhone 6.
